Ryan contacted a company to create a custom puzzle just for the occasion. The design featured the Victoria Inner Harbour, a scene instantly recognizable to anyone familiar with Victoria. But there was a special twist. Illustrated on the balcony of the Fairmont Empress were Ryan and Nicole themselves, holding a sign that read: Nicole, will you marry me?

To make the moment even more magical, Ryan coordinated with the staff at the Fairmont Empress Hotel to arrange access to the beautiful harbour-view balcony overlooking the Victoria Inner Harbour. Before Nicole arrived, Ryan carefully set the stage. On a small table sat the custom puzzle, almost complete, with just a few pieces missing. It was the perfect way to keep the surprise alive while giving Nicole something fun and meaningful to interact with.
