Taylor and Curtis had originally planned a big traditional wedding in 2020. With everything that happened, they had to reschedule and got thinking about what THEY really wanted in a wedding. They realized that a big wedding wasn’t for them. Sharing that moment with just the two of them would put them at ease. Additionally, it allowed them to let their guard down. Thus, their Emerald Lake Natural Bridge elopement was planned!
The Canadian Rocky Mountains were still covered in snow! But luckily it was warm enough that Taylor could be without a jacket. The views were gorgeous! And the natural bridge was epic!
A perk to eloping is that you can scout out the perfect location day of. Foot traffic, light and other variables that otherwise may have been missed! Curtis and Taylor got married in front of a gorgeous blue river, with a mountain as their backdrop.
After they tied the knot, they popped a bottle of champagne, had their first dance, and took lots of photos! Following their emerald lake natural bridge elopement, we drove the short distance to emerald lake. The lake was frozen over and boasted a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains! AND their socks were SO FUN!
Lastly, we went back to their cottage which had a special place in their hearts. We captured some photos with their dogs, and one with the gorgeous log cabin.
