We frequently hear “I hate being in front of the camera” or “My partner is really camera shy”. This feeling is normal! Here’s how we handle camera shy wedding photos.
If you feel lost, or stuck, we will give you something to do that involves movement. Movement really is the key to overcoming camera shy wedding photos. We never want you to feel like a barbie doll, posed limb by limb. So instead, we give little challenges like “Kiss her on the cheek as many times as you can in 10 seconds!”. This allows you to relax in front of the camera, while we have you do something that we know will look great. Sometimes the movement will be bigger, like a twirl or walking towards the camera. Other times, it will be a more subtle movement, like swaying back and forth. Whether we’re going for loud and energetic photos, or quiet and intimate, we’ve got you covered!
It’s rare that we ever work with models. What does this mean? We’re working with people just like you! Who also don’t know how to pose or where to put their hands. We don’t expect you to know what to do, that’s what we’re there for!
This means that we act with kindness and put your comfort first! We want to be able to know how to make you feel confident and comfortable. This is why we ask on our inquiry page, if you have any insecurities, and how we can make you feel comfy!
We work to make you feel comfy, and then give you space to forget that we’re even there. This is because we want to capture the essence of your partnership. NOT copy and paste a bunch of different poses. You’ll notice that we give direction when needed, but also give space for you to breathe!
Your writing resonates with me; it feels like you understand my difficulties.
