Cassy and Griffin’s intimate wedding in Victoria.
Cassy and Griffin had planned to get married on the beach in September with all of their friends and family. However, with COVID-19, their plans had to change. To reduce their families ferry travel, they got married the same weekend as Griffin’s sister. Subsequently, their planning window dwindle down to less than three months! In addition, they decided to get married at their church due to restrictions on event licences on beaches. This was an equally meaningful place for their family. Despite the whirlwind of planning and global pandemic, these two pulled off the most stunning intimate wedding.
Cassy wore her grad jewelry from her late grandmother, and perfume from her late grandfather. Her sister in law did her hair for her and her mother in law made the cake. Woven throughout was family togetherness and sentiment. My favourite moment took place at Island View right before the couple left for dinner. Dance has a big part in Cassy and Griffins relationship. They were deserving of a special first dance, reception or no reception. The two swayed, and danced on the beach. Cassy in her jacket in west coast style, and Griffin sang quietly to her. One of my favourite first dances to date!
